Infant goat milk powder DANLAIT

DANLAIT infant goat milk is specially adapted to meet the nutritional needs of infants

danlait 1-2-3

Goat milk may be an alternative to cow milk when the baby cannot be breastfed

Infant formulas are designed to supplement or replace breast milk when necessary. Their composition is specially designed to meet the nutritional needs of infants (calcium, protein, lactose, fat and vitamins).

Choosing goat milk as an alternative to breast milk may be done when breastfeeding is not an option and the child does not seem to respond positively to cow’s milk. Goat milk is often easier to digest than cow milk. This is due to the composition of goat’s milk and its fatty acid levels. Goat milk fat has a high proportion of short- and medium-chain fatty acids that are more easily absorbed than long-chain fatty acids in cow milk. In addition, the fat globules contained in goat milk are generally smaller than those in cow milk. Because of their larger total surface area, they are better and more rapidly degraded and digested by lipolytic enzymes.

The composition of goat milk also more closely resembles that of human breast milk, making it particularly suitable for infants.

DHA and ARA supplementation: vital to infant development

Human breast milk naturally contains DHA and ARA. It is therefore important to supplement infant milk formulas. Without these supplements, newborns run the risk of developing nutrient deficiencies. Both of these long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids are vital to infant brain growth and development. The beneficial effects on neurosensory development of DHA supplementation in milk formulas have been accepted for many years in premature infants and milk for low weight children.

Various studies support the choice of artificial milk enriched with DHA and ARA when weaning from breast milk. They also suggest that preformed DHA and ARA supplementation may be beneficial throughout the first year of life.
